I’ve had my car for more than a decade now and I think it’s starting to break down. It’s lasted for such a long time, especially since I actually bought it second-hand and I can’t really remember how long the person before me owned it for. This car is black in colour and is still very shiny when I get it washed. The interior is soft and made of the kind of material that isn’t leather. Over the years, I’ve decorated the inside of my car with little dangly knick knacks and bobbleheads, and also added some lovely car freshener scents to make it smell nice for guests.
My car has also frequented a number of car repair shops, as it’s had its fair share of problems over the years. Flat tires, scrapes while parking, that kind of thing. One of my windscreen wipers even broke off in the crazy winds that happened about five years ago in South Australia! Luckily, it was never dented in the hail that same week. A few of my friends’ cars got destroyed by the hail and those were some pretty costly repairs. Especially when almost everybody in the city had the same issue.
One thing I have to do soon is find a place that offers a car air conditioning regas and electrical service. Adelaide has a few of these around, but I’d love to find one that specifically deals with older cars. I’m not too concerned about the warranty or anything since I’m not planning to resell; I simply want the problems fixed. If the mechanic can fix them professionally and to a high standard, it’s very possible that my car could last for a lot longer than I had originally thought. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be driving it when I’m in my forties. Maybe I could show my car to my kids and bring them up driving in it. That would be pretty great.

I am smarter and more talented than everybody around me. That much has been clear since I was a young child. I was a prodigy in almost everything I tried. Now, my focus has turned to film. I am a standout local actor looking to break into Hollywood for the first time. I can also write, direct, produce and do all the technical behind the scenes stuff. My only real issue steps in at the post-production phase, with editing. That’s why I’m hiring the best
I’m moving to Melbourne and I’m currently planning everything involving the switch to the new city. It’s going to be a lot of work. Not only because I’m moving there for a new job and hopefully a chance at a new career, but also because moving, in general, takes a lot of effort. Especially if you’re moving interstate, like I am.
Believe it or not, I don’t hate cleaning my kitchen. It seems like the type of job that would be really long, gross and tedious, especially living in a house of four girls, but it’s actually really satisfying. I didn’t mind wiping down the fridge or the microwave. Heck, I didn’t even mind wiping down the bins. It was satisfying because I knew that by doing it myself, it was being done right.
As I grow older, I worry less and less about what people have to say and think. As a young person I was so caught up in keeping up appearances. I was worried that if anything slipped through the cracks and showed people that I wasn’t perfect, I’d be shunned from society. Mind you, back then, society was quite harsh but in reality, everyone was too worried about themselves to really take notice of anyone else. Even if I had slipped back then and accidentally showed the world my flaws (or so I thought of them), as long as everyone was too busy thinking about themselves, it wouldn’t matter.

I whistled as I cracked open the front door of my house, excitement at escaping the brisk winter air getting the better of me.
‘I hate it!’ I heard a screech from outside my office door. With a sigh, I slowly closed my laptop, mentally blocking out the next hour from my schedule.
