Delaying The Brief

Talk about leaving things to the last minute. I only have four minutes left to finalise this brief for work to pass on to an established video production company that we’re about to work with. They need the brief by a certain time to be able to hit our tight deadline and I completely get that. The only issue is that I’m not going to be able to hit the deadline for the brief. I’ve been so distracted all day and now I’m only just getting my head in the right frame of mind to do the work. I wish I had been this motivated at the start of the day – it would have saved me the very large headache that I’m experiencing now.

I’m going to have to call Melbourne’s best video animation company and apologise. It’s entirely my fault that the project is now being held up. I don’t want anyone getting in trouble on their end for the delay… but I also don’t want to get in trouble on my end for it. I don’t particularly want my boss to know that I wasted a whole day instead of working and as a result the video we’ve commissioned is going to be delayed. Yeah, I can’t have that hanging over my head. But the corporate video production company shouldn’t have to take any negative feedback from my boss because of a mistake that I’ve made. Okay. I’m going to call the video animation company and explain.

Wow. I am so grateful to be the main contact between my work and the corporate video production company. Melbourne city workers like us have to stick together and they very kindly said that they would do what they can in the meantime while waiting for the official brief, so to try and stick to the project timeline as closely as possible. How nice of them. I’m very relieved because this has been a major mess up on my behalf.

Going to Hollywood

I am smarter and more talented than everybody around me. That much has been clear since I was a young child. I was a prodigy in almost everything I tried. Now, my focus has turned to film. I am a standout local actor looking to break into Hollywood for the first time. I can also write, direct, produce and do all the technical behind the scenes stuff. My only real issue steps in at the post-production phase, with editing. That’s why I’m hiring the best video production company Melbourne has to offer to get them to work on the short film I’m currently creating.

The thing is, you can’t break into Hollywood and become a well-known filmmaker without having some very clear experience under your belt. I need something to prove my worth, essentially. Something to prove my abilities. I wrote up a script and designed all the shots, then hired the cast and crew and we started filming about six months ago. It’s finally wrapped up with almost no time issues and even came in under budget. That means I was able to splurge on a really high-quality editing company.

Usually, they can be pretty affordable but I really want to give this film the greatest chance of success and that can only happen with the best effects and editing Melbourne has. This video animation company can also complete fun little drawings on the short film to give it the vibe I’m after. A bit surreal, you know? That’s what I’m looking for, and I feel like adding a bit of animation to the live action can achieve that. Once everything has been completed, I’ll cut a trailer, start some intense marketing efforts, and premiere the short film at my local film festival. Hopefully, it picks up the traction I need for it to purchase me a ticket to Hollywood. That’s been my dream for ages, and I can feel it in my grasp.

Advertising My Business

Running your own business can be a lot of work, but it’s ultimately very rewarding. It is more work because I tend to physically work more hours than most people in a regular nine to five job. I often also work on weekends, which is okay because I am not married and do not have children. I want to establish myself before I commit to starting a proper family.

One of the hardest parts of running your own business is advertising yourself. It’s quite difficult to find marketing opportunities that are affordable but still have a decent impact. I am planning to hire a video production company. Melbourne has several of these, however many of them are more expensive than I can afford. After all, I am only just starting my business and am yet to see any major profits that would allow me to reinvest back into the business. When I’m looking at these company websites, I’m looking to see what services they provide. For example, I really need a production company that can film, edit and write scripts. It would be even better if they could distribute it too. I did manage to find a really good video animation company, but I’m not sure if animation is quite the vibe I’m going for. I do think some animations can work well, but it depends on the business itself.

Obviously, I am not a marketing expert, so I might talk to the professionals before I start discounting major video genres. But since my business is very design-focused, I don’t think animation would be a good way to showcase all the homes I am building and all the different rooms I am styling. Who knows, though? Maybe there’s a trend where customers like to see couches with eyes or fridges with smiles and teeth. I would personally not like that, but who’s to say what the younger generation finds appealing? I look forward to seeing what the advertising company has to say about my video advertisement.
